Tour The Bungalow
At the start of the 20th century, the bungalow became an American favorite. Central to the bungalow’s popularity was its simple modern living in one story. This home was built in 1923 and was lovingly restored in a project that ended in spring of 2008. It has immense character and cozy informality.
The approximately 1500-square-foot interior has 10-foot high ceilings, a massive fireplace and refinished heart pine floors. Throughout the home, you’ll find beautiful woodwork and an attention to detail.
The Bungalow is the perfect vacation spot for the serious reader—on our bookshelves you’ll find a 20-volume set of Harvard Classics World’s Greatest Literature, the entire works of William Shakespeare, as well as interesting writings on the Craftsman period and travel books relevant to Central Florida.
Note that our couples-oriented property and its antique décor is only appropriate for adults and children over the age 10.

The second bedroom features a Wesley Allen “Marlow queen” iron bed painted in a golden brown, providing a dramatic and romantic focal point to this bedroom. The room is decorated with interesting French plates highlighting women’s fashions from earlier times and is topped by a refurbished 1920s chandelier.
